Bio ~ I had a deeply interesting life. It took me to the edges of possibilities of understanding which is exactly where I wanted to go.
If the pictures seem a little dark it's because they've been tweaked to be very bright. Please turn up your monitor's brightness and contrast controls for better displays of the pictures if they seem dull to you.
If you like bright artistic pictures you'll love this book.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST18 years old to view some of the pictures (erotica) in this novel. If you are not, please do not proceed. Thank you.
If you wish to read a copy of the novel which has no pictures (and no erotica), click here.
~ My latest interesting/provocative thoughts ~ Our sole purpose in life is to be deluded. We're here to be deluded and everything we interpret or believe is incorrect. Everything. We live in deluded states believing in appearances and strange ideas every moment of our lives. Another way of saying this is, 'All is vanity'. For example, all belief systems are delusions therefore the search for the self leads to delusion, too. Once the self is found, it becomes a belief system. Everything I just said is a delusion - except for the laughter I hope I hear coming from you. Do You agree? Do you disagree? Why? You can leave your answer(s) on the Publicly Interactive BLOG in section 38, 'Delusions' or section23, 'Illusions.' I wish everyone would take their delusions less seriously and not kill anyone over them.

~ Synopsis ~
Portrait Of A Seeker Of Essence is about several years in the life of a thirty year old musician and his personal and spiritual changes. Through the story and his lyrics we see the main character, Gableplunk, change from being confused and desperate to having deeper understanding and committment. In fact this book is all about change. How to recognize the need for it. How to do it. How to lock it in.
The novel starts out, "The only real world was the world of mind," and "Gableplunk is the name of a journey, the journey of a mind." Gableplunk's mind is what is being presented for you to peruse, not just the story of his activities, behaviors and musicianship. He's a character who is deeply involved in risky self examination.
One characteristic I like very much about this novel is its language. It's lyrical and flows very sensuously - a pleasure to read.
As to the excellence of the writing, where have you ever read such excellent paragraphs such as these? ~ excerpt ~
This novel is one of the few in your lifetime that you shall read three times or more over the decades. It's more than 'meets the eye.' 'Zeitgeist' (spirit of the times) is always ephemeral; Gableplunk is timeless.
My goal for this book is to provide a platform for reflective psychological, spiritual and concrete thought for tens of thousands of people.
This book presumes a basic familiarity with spirituality. I'm not trying to sell you or convince you of anything with this novel. In fact every concept in this novel has been general public knowledge for fifty to twenty five hundred years or more. There is a glossary of terms which are specific to the story. The glossary defines terms with which you may not be familiar. It might not be a bad idea if you keep the Glossary open in another window with another copy of your browser as you read.
Although it doesn't diminish the reading experience, it's impossible to imagine the melodies to the songs' lyrics because you can't hear them and don't have the sheet music so I recommend reading the lyrics as part of the story and the character's development. If you're a musician and interested in getting a copy of the sheet music to any of Gableplunk's songs click here. It's possible that sometime in the future the songs will be recorded and made available on CDs.
For exact reproduction of the fonts of this novel add 'Romana BT', 'Toulouse Lautrec' and 'Nuptial' fonts to your C:\windows\fonts folder. If these are not present your browser will pick the closest matching fonts for your display (this will be okay).
